Staples Rebate Printer/Camera

Participated in the Staples Printer / Camera rebate program. The in-store circular advertised the printer as free after rebate yet Staples knowingly added a clause to the rebates that would allow them to void all rebates for the free printer in an attempt to defraud the consumer. The staples scam worked as follows: Offer 3 rebates on one printer but add a clause that states "Offer not valid with any other rebates, offers or promotions." This would allow them to later invalidate all the rebates that they had advertised in their national circular. They could then use that clause to invalidate all 3 of the rebates, 20 dollars, 30 dollars and 50 dollars in order to make the printer free as stated in their circular. This a gross misuse of false advertising to exploit American consumers. Action must be taken against Staples and the rebate processing center in this matter.
