We, the undersigned, are utterly outraged and embarrassed by the way BET has decided to portray black college students. Why did BET have to single out the worst of African Americans in the country to represent us? If they couldnt have found intelligent and interesting Black People to make a show, then they should have cancelled the show altogether. MTV, at times, seem to be able to find intelligent Black People for their reality shows, so why wont BET. Glorifying ignorance in the name of entertainment has to stop. Not only are they perpetuating the stereotypes about African Americans but they are making them worse. This portrayal is not funny; in fact, it is disparaging and is stifling the future of Black children. BET is seeming, more and more, to be a primary catalyst for the mental slavery of African American youths. Black Embarrassment Television needs to change or re-arrange its ideals, and if they dont, the Real Black Community is going to do something about it.

the show is depressing to watch, does a disservice to the show itself, the cast, the network, and POTENTIAL viewers. Programming like this made me stop watching BET altogether.
