Stop Pro Anorexia/Bolemia Sites!!

This is a petition to STOP the pro anorexic/bolemic sites. These sites are not helpful to girls or guys. Anorexia and bolemia are very dangerous things. These websites actively encourage people to become anorexic/bulimic. A typical one of these websites will have peoples pictures of girls with their names on them and other website users can leave comments. Skeletal looking girls have comments left like "Oh my god you are SOOO F'ing fat! Nice huh. They will also have sick competitions for who is loosing the most weight. Scary food diaries of about 3 items a day! And as you log off the websites messages flash up like "ANA/MIA loves you baby doll".(taken from tdp rant) thats extremly sick. Do these people know that what they're doing is extremly harmful to themselves? Nope,all they think about is that they'll get skinny.


Girl's don't think about the actual problems anorexia/bulimia do to you.





The physical effects of repeated vomiting and laxative abuse can include:


Tearing of the lining of the esophagus or stomach


Strain on the heart due to loss of potassium


Dehydration


Dizziness


Muscle cramping and weakness


Fatigue


Digestive problems


Kidney failure


Broken blood vessels in the face and eyes


Tooth decay


Irregular menses or amenorrhea





Loss of muscular strength


Loss of endurance


Decreased oxygen utilization


Decreased aerobic power


Loss of coordination


Impaired judgement


Reduced blood volume


Loss of blood flow to kidneys


Loss of all muscle glycogen (the energy stored in muscles and other organs)


Reduced heart function


6-10\% of all patients with a diagnosis of anorexia or bulimia die as a result of starvation, cardiac arrest and suicide





So as you can see, the solution is worse than the problem.


Those site should be illigal, and banned for false advertisement. (from lyzzi) Please take the time to sign this petition. These sites need to be stopped. The promotion of anorexia and bolemia is a scary and dangerous thing and needs to be stopped NOW!!
