Stop The Green Valley Academy in Ogden Valley Utah

We the people of the Ogden Valley have hereby assembled a Petition urging you to stop the Green Valley Academy from coming to the Ogden Valley. We also request that you not grant the Green Valley Academy a conditional use permit, and the various other permits, that they are requesting. There are countless citizens in the Ogden Valley who are extremely upset and concerned about the current situation. All of us have a strong desire to write you a letter, but as a courtesy to you, we have chosen to simply put a petition together so that you are not inundated with countless letters that you may or may not have time to read. Each signature here counts as a strong voice, urging you to prohibit the Green Valley Academy from coming to the Ogden Valley. We are trying to be courteous of your time and resources in consolidating our efforts. We now combine our voice one petition rather than writing you thousands and thousands of letters.



We have numerous concerns with this situation which we will express at the upcoming hearing. However, in nutshell many of our concerns are as follows: land use, planning, zoning, a for-profit business in a almost exclusive residential zone, traffic, laundry, septic, water, parking, lighting, safety, law enforcement issues, additional law enforcement costs, and the impact on the environment and the endangered species that are surrounding this area (i.e. Bald Eagles, red fox, and whole host of other grasses and etc.). As you can imagine, the list goes on and on which we expect to present in a cogent and clear format at the upcoming hearing. We believe our position and arguments are valid, meritorious, and bear significant legal weight. To this end we the residents of the Ogden Valley sign our names to this Petition requesting that you hear our concerns, find in our favor, and deny the Green Valley Academy a conditional use permit as many other areas have done as well. In conclusion this is a for-profit business, and a commercial facility for seriously disturbed and troubled youth. This is not an appropriate setting or place for this type of intense commercial business. Once again, we strongly urge you to deny there conditional use permit and other requests.
