Libraries are a service and should be the last to be cut. Dorset County Council have plenty of other areas where they can cut costs which will not affect services.

Our Council Tax goes up every year while our facilities get cut! Abolish 13 libraries to save 847K and then spend 5M to set up a call centre? Where's the common sense?

Libraries are essential community facilities and as it is Dorset County Council spends less on the Library Service than it does on school transport, i.e. about 7.2 million out of a budget of hundreds of million!

I think it is disgusting that an essential service like a library is under threat of closure due to lack of funds when there is so much wastage in local government i.e. your dorset to every house in the county
