Stop the Pink Slips in Howell

The purpose of this Petition is to let the Howell Township BOE and Council know that anyone and everyone that signs this petition is NOT in agreement to allowing the pink slips of 311 teachers and another 150 support staff to continue.
If we allow anymore cuts our children are going to suffer the aftermath for years to come. We don't need to be paying these big salaries for people who aren't worth the money. We need to cut from the top, keep the ones that work daily with our children and make them what they are today. Keep the teachers and the support staff.
Keep our classrooms at the amount of kids we have already in them.
That the following should be implemented:
All sports programs in the Howell School System be a "Pay to Play" program.
Saving at least $750,000.00 and keeping well educated teachers.
All after school sports busing be eliminated. Saving at least another $50,000.00 for the school year.
That at least 2 Administrative Supervisors be eliminated.
That medical insurance payments for all employees be paid for by all staff at at least a 50\% ratio.
That retirement payments be matched by employees for all staff.
Training of staff: Eliminate the accommodation of staff if within a 2 hour driving range.
That the Family Consumer Science is not eliminated as this is a "Life Skill" the special kids need and benefit from as well as main streamed children.
Eliminate all consultants that are paid year round.
Eliminate auditors and demographics for 2 years.
Freeze salaries for 2 years.
Freeze all trainings unless absolutely necessary for one year.
