Stop the use of Wire Medium strips causing severe injury and death to motorcyclists

Motorcyclist's will Continue to be killed by wire median strips if road authorities fail to review prehistoric" designs.. With a reputation for leaving riders with horiffic injuries resulting in severed limbs"and Death.   "It seem's ironic that a so called safety system design that actually increases the chances of fatality,not only is the wire rope in itself a Danger to all motorcycles but the upright support post are also posing a fatal risk to all riders.   A recent study show's in other countries 7 out of 7 impacts involving motorcycles were fatal,so why install WRSB if Concrete barriers are more forgiving to motorcyclists. Further research and action is needed to prevent ongoing risk and severe injury.     A safe barrier for motorcyclists is • a barrier where you cannot be thrown over in a collision • a barrier without protruding parts where parts of the body and/or the motorcycle can get caught • a barrier without openings, vertical or horizontal, where parts of the body and/or the motorcycle can become trapped • a barrier with a smooth upper surface • a barrier without unprotected posts in both the ground level and the top side • a barrier with energy-absorbing MPS • a barrier that is not fitted with attachments which involve a higher risk of injury and • a barrier which is located at a distance from the road surface allowing a rescue space.
