Stop The Yellowstone Snowmobile Ban
Sign Now
We, the undersigned, support traditional and historic access to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks via snowmobile. The National Park Services recent announcement that it plans to ban snowmobiles from these parks is totally unacceptable. It is indicative of the agencies obvious disregard for its obligation to the public and the NEPA process.
The Park Service has failed in its duty to complete a comprehensive Environmental Impact Statement to evaluate winter use in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.
The States of Montana, Wyoming and Idaho, gateway counties, and other State and Federal Agencies have, in good faith, supplied the Park Service with overwhelming data that demonstrates that a ban on snowmobile use is un-necessary and potentially devastating to the quality of life in this region. Additionally, such a ban would impact upon the enjoyment of these parks in winter by visitors from each of our United States. This data has been ignored by the Park Service.
We, as snowmobilers respectfully ask you, our elected officials, to use your Congressional oversight ability to intervene in this seriously flawed process.
Thank you in advance for your careful consideration of this important matter.
