STOP Universal Studios' Frightening Advertisements

Every October we can count on Universal Studios' advertisements of Halloween Horror Nights everywhere we turn. And, every year the billboards get even scarier, and they have gotten out of hand. My 4-year-old son started noticing their advertisements this year and asked, "Is that the devil, Mommy?" I said no, and tried to explain, but he couldn't understand that it was fake. He also asked "Why do they want to scare me?"

As a teenager or an adult, I can see how people think that this is fun and harmless, but as a young child, they don't understand that it isn't real. Now, every time I see one of these billboards, I scramble to find ways keep my son from seeing it.

Four-Letter words (like F**K) are not allowed on any type of advertisement because it is obscene, offensive and inappropriate for children. Well, how are advertisements with pictures of (very graphic) evil clowns, demons, and chainsaw massacres all over the roads any different? Even worse, you dont have to be able to read to know what it is. It is offensive to Christians, and many others, who do not celebrate Halloween, and it is inappropriate for ANY young child to see, as well.

If Universal Studios, or any other company, wants to advertise their Halloween events, they should do so without showing these types of graphic, frightening images. If people want to attend these events, it is a free country, but the general public (and their children) shouldnt be FORCED to see those images all over the roads.
