Our director Dr.Prof.S.Sarangi, an eminent academician and able administrator has been removedfrom his post by MHRD, because of some procedural lapses by the earlierministry. Within this short span of nearly 2 years, Prof. Sarangi broughtin a lot of changes in academic, research, administration, studentactivities and infrastructure; and one could find ample evidence ofthat. The Institute was making steady progress under his direction andall of us are shocked by his unexpected and untimely removal. WE STRONGLY CONDEMN THE ACTION OF MHRD IN TAMPERING WITH THE INSTITUE'S AUTONOMY AND WE WANT OUR DIRECTOR TO BE REINSTATED FOR THE LARGER INTEREST OF THE INSTITUTE.
