The Bring Back Mr. Powers Petition

To: The Administration at Monta Vista High School in Cupertino, California

On Friday, November 19th of the year 2004, the Students of Monta Vista High's Fourth period Algebra 2 and Trigonometry class with Mr. Powers recieved notice that Mr. Powers will not be teaching the class anymore. This abrupt switch between teachers may not prove to be the the most beneficial for the students. They feel that the switch should take place at the end of the semester, if it must take place at all. As it is said, it is not best to switch horses in the middle of a race. In the same way, it is not favorable to switch teachers abruptly in the middle of a semester.

For the good of the students, it is requested that the parents and students of Period four Algebra 2 and Trigonometry to sign this petition to allow Mr. Powers to continue teaching until the end of the semester in the place of Mr. Vanhoy. Thank you for youre time.
