RE: The future of the Buffalo Bills football team
Dear Governor Pataki,
The taxpayers of the State of New York demand that absolutely NO public monies, tax incentives, or any other such financial means be used by the state government in order to retain the Buffalo Bills in New York State should they request any public financial assistance in the future.
Many people in this state are unemployed/underemployed and cannot afford healthcare, so we will not accept the state government providing any financial assistance to the Buffalo Bills football team.
Team owner Mr. Ralph Wilson must not be allowed to further his extreme wealth on the backs and at the expense of state taxpayers. Mr. Wilson is a smart businessman, and if he sincerely wants his franchise to remain in the Buffalo area he will find a way other than asking for state government assistance.
We ask that you issue an executive order declaring that no state financial assistance be offered to the Buffalo Bills football team, and directing the state legislature to not include any state financial assistance to the team in future state budgets.
