Early on October 9, 2011, Amber Kirwin was taken from the street after she left Dooleys in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, time was 1:40am, to meet her boyfriend at Big Al's. It's a 2-3 minute walk. She did not make it.
Her body was found November 5, 2011. Chris Falconer was arrested for a breach of probation November 10, 2011, then later was charged with her murder.There was a trial which ended January 27, 2014, with Chris Falconer guilty of first degree murder. The evidence was circumstantial. There was no DNA to link Chris directly to the murder and a lot of unknown DNA. The jury deliberated for 7 hours.
