Since it's release on August 18th, 2006, Snakes on a Plane has demonstrated an acute awareness of today's world and the crisis which people face every day. To many, the mere thought of a snake bite is overwhelming, yet each day people around the world are faced with the gruesome truth of having a loved one, or even themselves, severely injured by a venomous reptile. Unfortunately, which is often the case, help in the form of an FBI Agent such as Neville Flynn, as portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson, cannot be found soon enough.
This film is not only an observation of today's society, but it is also a message of hope. Even in the direst of circumstances, a plane overrun with snakes, everyday citizens can step up and be heroes. We call upon the world community to urge cinemas everywhere to continue to play this film permanently so that one-day people will no longer have to fear Snakes on a Plane.
