Walmart Opposition in Newton Georgia

We the tax paying citizens of Newton County, Georgia would like to voice our opposition to the proposed building of a Walmart Supercenter at the intersections of Salem and Browns Bridge roads. The first order of this opposition is that there is a conflict of interest amongst the Board of Commissioners trying to pass this zoning. The "lame duck" commissioner Ronnie Dimsdale from Zone 2 has a vested interest in the passage of this zoning, as he is one of the property owners. Furthermore, this intersection and Salem Road in its entirety are completely congested and hazardous. We ask that the current zoning remain in place.
