World of Warcraft - Cross realm parties

World of Warcraft has changed drastically over the years. The community spirit that drew a lot of us in to the game back in Vanilla WoW, where we would form a party and look for a particular class for a considerable time are gone thanks to the Dungeon Finder.

The Dungeon Finder is a great tool and it can be fantastic when you find a group that you do enjoy playing with. We now have realID - so we can talk to people we meet if we exchange details. It can be great to have a whole day of instances with the same people, levelling up together through dungeons.

What we DONT have is the ability to invite these players back in to groups if somehow we lose each other during a gaming session. Emergencies and situations often call us away from the game - the door ringing, food being ready, having to tend to children for the more mature players.

The culture these days is to rush through Dungeons. Slowing down for a second can result in a kick sometimes - another way you can lose the friend you've done the last 10 instances with!

Being able to make friends in instances and then be able to guarantee playing with them again beyond realm transfers would be great. Some of us have guilds we dont want to leave!

We understand that being locked to a specific realm generates revenue for Blizzard, however this is a proposition for the random dungeon finding only. If we could form a "Dungeon Party" that cannot be converted to a raid - this would satisfy both sides.
