Having waited for almost six months, we are now getting ready to SPEED UP THE PROCESS BY announcing the launch of the Beirut Water Taxi project petition to be presented to the Lebanese Parliament, after we have collected ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND YES signatures for the Beirut Water Taxi project from everyone, Lebanese, residents and emigrants, from our government, the President of the Republic, the House Speaker, the Prime Minister, the Ministers, the members of parliament, the mayors of cities, the government staff, the armed forces, colonels and soldiers, professors, teachers, and students, local unions and international organizations, all the friends of Lebanon, diplomats, tourists, and everyone who will listen to our CALL FOR SUPPORT so that we can get the law passed through parliament and start up the stations across the Lebanese coats.
Yes, we promised everyone that we would not give up until the Beirut Water Taxi is operating and the service is available to everyone and we intend to deliver on our promise. In 2010, we did the study and concluded with the draft of the proposed National Water Taxi Transportation service law final draft being prepared by us and delivered to the Prime Ministers office on the 2010. Today, this is the next phase of the project so it can be implemented in 2011, so please do come and join us, volunteer to get the petition signed, or just sign our petition.
From the start we have used a NON CONVENTIONAL approach by disclosing all the project through the local and international media whose coverage and support has been the best ever, and on our own website has ensured full transparency and credibility, now we will take OUR CALL FOR SUPPORT TO THE PEOPLE and seek their support. We honestly believe that this is the best way to convince the entire government that using the sea as a means of transport is the only logical fast and affordable solution and most important that it is in the interest of ALL THE PEOPLE OF LEBANON, at a time when traffic congestion has managed to suffocate Beirut by paralyzing our streets making a trip in and out of Beirut a nightmare and an impossible task, our economy has stopped growing and prices of all daily life commodities are increasing everyday.
We believe that the time is right and therefore we intend to seek support by appealing across to all sectarian, political and organizations in Lebanon and show that the project will result in easing the lives of the average citizen at a time when everyone without exception is financially suffering and is finding it hard to make ends meet for beyond and that beyond any doubt THE BEIRUT WATER TAXI IS A NATIONAL PROJECT WHICH WILL BENEFIT EVERYONE WITHOUT EXCEPTION .
