17th Street Skate Park

17th Street Surf/Skate Shop is interested in building a skate park. As some of you may already know, the new 17th Street location is a perfect place for a skate park facility to be built (Located on College Road directly across from UNCW campus). Behind the shop there is over 15000sq. feet of warehouse space, all of which is over two stories tall. Let me remind you that the park would be INDOOR, built by the best ramp architects around and with the best materials available. The warehouse is ALREADY equipped with heat and air conditioning. Also, funding is not a problem for the skate park, but we just have to be convinced that the local skateboarders are supportive of having the facility built. We want to know that it will be a good investment, and once enough signatures are collected, its off to the drawing boards to turn this dream into a reality. Wilmington does not have an indoor skate park, and 17th Street is willing to give us one. So this is your chance to make a difference and help the local skateboarding industry and scene grow! By signing this petition, you will be giving us and idea of how serious the locals are about having a skate park set up behind our shop.
