A PETITION REGARDING THE LACK OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION BETWEEN SUMMERLAND AND PENTICTON
TO THE MUNICIPALITY OF SUMMERLAND AND PENTICTON
We, the residents of Summerland draw the attention of the public to the following:
THAT Summerland requires a BC Transit bus system between Summerland and Penticton to reduce harmful car emissions and provide a convenient transport system for commuters.
THAT many residents of Summerland and Penticton commute daily and have no other means of transportation besides driving. A better, cheaper transportation system would greatly benefit both towns economies and the environment.
THEREFORE this petition requests that Summerland and Pentictons municipalities should implement a BC transit bus line to run from Summerland to Penticton and back at regular intervals for an affordable fee.
