We, the American People, petition the ranking Republican members of the House of Representatives, that the HONORABLE RON PAUL, Congressman from Texas be immediately appointed to the Chairmanship of the House Financial Services Committee, when the new Congress convenes in January, 2011.
No other member of the US House of Representatives has exhibited a profound knowledge of our banking system and the financial maladies now confronting our nation due to the policies of the Federal Reserve Bank.
Congressman Ron Paul previously authored and presented the Congress with HR 1207, which was an attempt to Audit the Federal Reserve. Everyone of the Republican members of the House voted in favor of this audit, including 23 Democrats. It failed only because 122 Democrats opposed it.
The American People are demanding a through audit of the Federal Reserve, and an indepth look at the policies of the Federal Reserve, which many feel have led to a near financial breakdown of our banking system.
Ron Paul has shown the steadfast knowledge, fortitude and the leadership to help restore the American financial system to a position of soundness.
Therefore, We, the people, respectfully ask that you, the ranking members of the Republican Party appoint RON PAUL as the next Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee when the Congress convenes in January of 2011
