Bergen Catholic Laptop Program

We the students, friends, and people related to or in touch with Bergen Catholic High School believe that we are the true possessors and owners of these laptops and have certain Rights to them. We hereby resist the rules and regulations that have attempted to take away these rights. We are the true owners of these laptops and they are not under the possession and control of the administration of Bergen Catholic High School. We have paid our money, no matter the price, and believe that these laptops are our own and not that of the school. We thereby inform the world of the following things that the administration has attempted to do to the students and owners of these laptops.

They have not used these laptops to their full use during class and have therefore created a waste of money for the families of the Students.

They have restricted us from downloading and sharing files between ourselves outside school

They have restricted us from possessing games, but we do Not resist their prohibiting us to play them during classes.

They have restricted us from possessing a communications program such as American Onlines Instant Messenger program, thereby restricting us from our social lives outside of school. We agree with their prohibiting us from talking during class, but do Not agree to not talking outside of class.

They have resulted to taking away our laptops for weekends when we are not under their control.

We, therefore, Student Body of Bergen Catholic High School as well as its supporters, inside and outside of class, Assemble, appealing to the Administration of the school for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by the Authority of the good People of these Classes, solemnly publish and declare, That these Rules are, and of Right ought to be unbound from us; that they are against all Allegiance to the Administration in these topics, these rules are and ought to be totally dissolved. Our laptops should be Free and Independent from the School. And for the support of this Petition, with a firm reliance on the protection of this laptop, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.
