Star Trek XI is purported to chronicle the events of Kirk and Spock during their Academy days. Of course, for this to happen the parts of Kirk and Spock will have to be recast.
Fans worldwide have harshly condemned this move. It is outrageous to think *anyone* could replace William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy. This is a last, desperate move on the part of TPTB to squeeze every last dollar out of their beleaguered cash cow.
It amounts to blasphemy.
