Bring Sitar Back

While we understand the necessary changes made to the Great Hall dining experience during the shift away from ARAMARK catered services. We, The Undersigned believe that Sitar India Palace should have a place of service twice a week as in previous years.
For many Duke community members Sitar was a highlight in Duke dining and its current absence is unacceptable. Although some may believe that Dosa Delhi is a comparable service, it can be noted that the quality of the food is not equal to Sitar's cuisine.
The Italian based Trattoria does not fully utilize the space that Sitar once occupied and takes away the variety of dining options for Duke community members. Furthermore, having outside vendors within the Great Hall increases competition insuring that the Compass Group subsidiary Bon Appetit keeps striving to improve the quality of their service.
Q-Shack has essentially been given another venue on campus with the occupation of Rick's Diner's former location by Tommy's...Rubs, Grubs N Suds. Why not offer the same business opportunity to Sitar by returning it to the Great Hall or another venue.
We strongly urge that Sitar India Palace be returned to the Great Hall for the enrichment of the Great Hall dining experience. We hope you consider our plea.
