On July 5, 2009, at 7pm, Clear Channel Radio removed Birmingham's only "new rock" station (The Vulcan), and replaced it with talk radio programming. I am extremely disappointed at this change, and it is my hope that with this petition the people of Birmingham will join me in showing Program Director Paul Cashin at Clear Channel how many of us want a "new rock" station to return!

It WAS pretty cool finally havin a rock station that played older rock like led zep and newer rock without much of the crappy 80s hairband BS... BRING BACK THE VULCAN!!!

horrible timing guys, horrible timing. 5 Points Music Hall si opening back up and where are they to advertise shows now?! Plus no rock station at all in birmingham?? Seriously?!? Someone was definitely a little intoxicated when they made this decision
