After recent tragic events and news paper articles the original group on facebook was closed but the matter still stands. We as local residents and just plainly appalled nottinghamshire people would like to close down the St Andrews Healthcare Centre at Mansfield. One incident has already occurred and has left a family devastated.
This place is a danger to our community and the only way we can ensure that this does not happen again is if it is closed down.
St Andrew's are treating 'adapted sex offenders' and letting them out into our community on a regular basis unescorted. The local residents were not aware of the type of people that were being housed in this centre although not ALL residents are sex offenders St Andrews is advertising this service therefore must be providing it.
Also these sex offenders are hiding behind mental illness and learning disabilities which I believe is wrong and creating more stigma for people with these conditions. They should be named and labelled as what they are!! and not covered by this larger blanket diagnosis.
This petition is not asking anyone to take the law into their own hands.
