10.000 firme per il fiume Sesia e il torrente Chiusella entro lunedi 9 febbraio 2009
Stanno per saccheggiare gli ultimi paradisi di acque bianche e naturali presenti nell'arco alpino. L'acqua è di tutti, aiutaci a preservarla.
Cosa sta succedendo e perchè ti chiediamo di firmare:
Marzo 2007 dopo anni di impegno da parte di Associazioni del territorio, di liberi cittadini e studi tecnici redatti da Enti Pubblici, la Regione Piemonte approva il Piano di Tutela delle acque, tale piano, a tutti gli effetti legge di tutela, preserva tutti gli affluenti del bacino dell'Alto Sesia e il torrente Chiusella dalla speculazione dei derivatori che vogliono costruire centraline idroelettriche negli ultimi paradisi di acque bianche presenti nell'arco alpino.
Maggio 2008 con un colpo di mano, durante le votazioni della legge finanziaria della Regione Piemonte, viene presentato un emendamento da una lobby di consiglieri, che di fatto cancella l'articolo presente nel P.T.A. Si crea cosi un buco legislativo in cui si infilano ben felici coloro i quali intendono costruire centraline idroelettriche a fini esclusivamente speculativi e distruttivi
Luglio 2008 la Giunta regionale del Piemonte vota all'unanimità una delibera per reintrodurre la tutela degli affluenti del Sesia e del Chiusella, con un nuovo articolo di legge per il P.T.A. Tale articolo viene inviato alla III e V Commissione della Regione (Ambiente e Risorse Idriche), come previsto nel normale iter burocratico per la presentazione di nuovi articoli di legge.
13 Novembre 2008 Dopo incontri e dibattiti ufficiali con tutti i soggetti interessati, atti dovuti per legge, la III e V Commissione della Regione Piemonte approvano l'articolo che può finalmente essere messo all'ordine del giorno nelle sedute del Consiglio Regionale del Piemonte ultimo passo per l'approvazione di una nuova legge.
fino ad oggi l'ostruzionismo di consiglieri regionali che palesemente hanno interessi personali e lobby di derivatori da proteggere, fa si che ad oggi non si contino più le volte in cui l'approvazione dell'articolo di legge per la tutela dei torrenti del Sesia e del Chiusella viene continuamente rinviato dopo accesi dibattiti in aula; nella seduta di martedi 3 Febbraio alcuni consiglieri sono usciti dall'aula e hanno fatto mancare il numero legale per cui per l'ennesima volta non è stata fatta la votazione. L'assenza di una legge di tutela permette agli speculatori di andare avanti nei loro progetti, nello specifico 1 impianto sul torrente Chiusella e 4 impianti distribuiti sugli affluenti del Fiume Sesia, ma sicuramente siamo solo all'inizio di una lunga lista.
Martedi 10 febbraio vieni anche tu a Torino al presidio di fronte al Palazzo della Regione, via Vittorio Alfieri, 15 alle ore 10.00 - per fare pressione al Consiglio Regionale affinchè venga finalmente votato l'articolo di tutela.
Questa petizione verrà mandata ai giornali attraverso un comunicato stampa lunedi 9 febbraio per dare voce a tutti coloro che vogliono preservare un patrimonio naturale e che è nostro compito consegnare intatto ai nostri figli.

One of the last natural white water paradises within the alpine mountain range is being destroyed.
Water belongs to us all so please help us preserve this precious source.
What is happening now and why we are asking you to sign this petition:
March 2007 after years of studies and battles by Associations and citizens to protect the territory, the Piedmont Region approved an Environmental Protection Plan, with full legal effect, to preserve all the affluents of The Upper Sesia River basin and Chiusella Torrent from any form of speculation to build hydroelectric generating stations in one of the last natural white water paradises within the alpine mountain range.
May 2008 with a sudden attack, during voting for the Piedmont Regions budget, an amendment was proposed by a lobby of councillors and the Environmental Protection Plan was repressed immediately. So this created a legislative hole, where those interested in speculation and destruction by building hydroelectric generating stations, were all too happy to take advantage of this situation.
July 2008 Piedmonts Regional Council voted unanimously to re-introduce the Environmental Protection Plan to preserve all the affluents of The Upper Sesia River basin and Chiusella Torrent, with another new article of law. This article was sent to the 3rd and 4th Commission, which is the normal bureaucratic procedure for any new law article, and was brought before the Regional Council for voting.
13 November 2008 After many meetings and debate with all sides involved, as required by law,
the 3rd and 4th Commission (Environment and Water Resources) of the Piedmont Region finally approved this article that was now on the Piedmonts Regional Council agenda.
Up till today Regional councillors have used obstructive tactics and have openly displayed their personal interests to protect builders and therefore continue to build hydroelectric generating stations. We have lost count of the times that this article of law to protect Rivers Sesia and Chiusella has been continually deferred after heated discussions. During a meeting on Tuesday 3rd February some councillors intentionally left the room so not to form quorum, and yet again for the umpteenth time the article could not be voted and with an absence of law the speculators continue with their project to build 1 hydroelectric generating station on Chiusella Torrent and 4 distributing stations on
River Sesias affluents.
COME to TORINO on TUESDAY 10TH FEBRUARY to demonstrate in front of Palazzo della Regione, in Via Vittorio Alfieri N° 15, at 10 oclock am to put pressure on the Regional Council until they finally vote and pass this Environmental Protection Article.
This petition will be sent to all newspapers with a press release on Monday 9th February to
let the voices of those, who want to preserve this heritage given to us by nature, be heard.
It is our duty to pass this heritage on to our children and future generations.
