ECW on British terrestrial television

At the end of 2001, WWE's "Sunday Night Heat" programme was removed from the Channel 4 schedules, removing the last professional wrestling programme from British terrestrial television. Since then, all professional wrestling programming has been exclusive to Sky Television, a subscription-only service. We, the British wrestling fans without the means or finances to subscribe to Sky, are growing tired of receiving a raw deal from WWE and their insistence on making their programme exclusive to Sky. Many wrestling fans are unable to afford a subscription to Sky, in particular the sports channels which WWE has become almost exclusive to more recently.

With the ECW brand reported to be making a comeback in the coming months, we appeal to WWE to give British fans the opportunity to enjoy the new brand by making it available to all fans, and attempting to have the product broadcast on terrestrial television.
