This document you are about to sign is a petition to remove current Rules and Regulations currently instated at Elgin High School during Lunch and Study Hall periods. The current rules state that no student may cross or enter into another common (lunch area) unless they are coming from a class with a valid pass. Otherwise the student must remain in the common that is on their schedule and remain there for the whole period. Now lunchtime is the only period that us students have to chat and talk with friends with out being yelled at, and when you take that away from us, you have basically turned us into lifeless drones with no freedom from the master (Elgin High School Administrators and Staff). So I would like to thank everyone that signs this petition in the fight against a higher power and to reclaim our freedom as EHS students.

Last year was my freshman year and I remeber the common walls just being up and I thought that was pretty stupid but now assigning us to one certian common is even worse. What happens if a fight breaks out between you and another person in your common? Ar

As a former Elgin High Student I believe the freedom to be with your friends in school should atleast be applied when in the only period it is allowed, lunch. My sophomore year was hell because I wasnt able to talk to my friends half of the time in lunch.
