Enterprise Theme Song Must Go!

We, the devoted fans of Star Trek, we who have seen every episode of the original series, and the Next Generation, all the movies, and probably watched Deep Space 9 and Voyager too (but not always), we who dress up in uniforms and go to conventions, we who buy novels, action figures, video tapes, and other merchandise, we who are the lifeblood of all that is Trek, are not happy.

We wish to express our unmitigated disgust with the theme song that has been selected for the new Enterprise series. It is not fit to be scraped off the bottom of a Klingon's boot.

Some of us do not mind a break from the past. Some prefer classical, some like something contemporary. Regardless, the current theme is repulsive, irritating, and beneath contempt. We implore you, the producers of this exciting new program, to reconsider your choice in theme music. Hopefully this new member of the Trek family will be with us for years to come; preferably, the theme song won't.
