persecution in Egypt. Christian Egyptians are being harassed, persecuted and detained for the only reason of their belief in Jesus Christ.
We believe that freedom of religion is one of the basic rights of any human being. The Egyptian government is not only violating
international human rights declaration that the country is party to but also the provisions of article 19 of its unimplemented Constitution.
We are urging the International community to join us to free a young man who was detained by the Egyptiangovernment only because
he converted from Islam to Christianity. His fiancee is an American citizen who did her best to free him. After some of the officers in the
ministry of interior of Egypt promised to free him for money. He gave them 20,000 American dollars, they never kept their promise of releasing him.
We are holding his personal information upon request to be available to those whom will be concerned.
We call upon all peace and freedom loving Egyptians and the International community to join us as we express our concern to the already
detained prisoners of conscience and those who are at the risk of such illegal detention.
Let us join our hands together with those in chains because of their beliefs. We believe that these Christians are incarcerated for the sole
reason of their religious persuasion. We would therefore urgently request that all those who are incarcerated for their religious beliefs be
released immediately.
