To Free Aaden from the unlawful glines proposed by WizeOne on this day, December 4th, 2005, and punish those responsible for glining this outstanding member of this community.
On December 4th, 2005, Aaden was seen by WizeOne flooding the channel #eqemu. Without any investigation, WizeOne glined Aaden from the entire network. Why would he gline Aaden from the entire network for violation of one channels rules? Surely a temp. channel ban would have been much more appropriate.
When Aaden came back to protest his unlawful banning by WizeOne, he was immedietly glined again for attempting to bypass a gline. But the fact reamins:
"No gline is valid if it is based on invalid intelligence or reasoning."
- Section 302-C of the Standard Operating Procedures in Regards to the Release of Glines
Therefore Aaden was not bypassing a valid gline, therefore he was not actually violating these rules.
When multiple members of #eqemu began protesting WizeOne's decision, stating that Aaden was an important member of the community and challenging the merits of the gline, WizeOne banned those members from the channel, citing it constituted "spam". How can conversation between channel members be considered spam?
This petition is directed at the administrators of EQEMu, most specifically WizeOne for his unlawful banning.
We request that Aaden be unbanned from EQEMu IRC as soon as possible, and that WizeOne be warned concerning this incident.
In conclusion, WizeOne can eat shit.
