This petition shows the dire need of native Linux Source Dedicated Server binaries for the video game Garry's Mod. These Linux binaries will help in numerous ways, including:
1. More hosting available for Garry's Mod dedicated servers... This is because there are many gameserver hosts that use Linux, and with Linux binaries available in addition to Windows ones, those Linux hosts will be able to run Garry's Mod servers much more easily.
2. Cheaper hosting, because Windows costs money, and Linux is free, gameserver hosts that want to run Windows servers have to pay Microsoft licensing fees.
3. More gameservers to play on, because more hosting will be available.
4. More stable running on Linux. While Wine is pretty good about being bug-free, it still has its glitches and crashes.
We also believe there are no downsides to Linux binaries being available.
