We, the undersigned, ask that (2) two canines, Oz, a Great Dane, and Zoey, an English Bulldog, be allowed to continue residency at their current home in Newport Beach, CA for the duration of the lease.
While we understand the dogs are very expensive to care for, as well as very destructive, we feel that they are more than just pets and are integral to the dynamics of the residence. Without them, there would be no greeters, no guards, and no one to bark and snap at those that visit who we are not all that fond of. These (3) three services alone more than offset their costs, not to mention emotional support and affection.
We do recognize that they are poorly trained, do not listen to instructions, and typically do as they please. However, those reasons alone should not be enough to warrant not only an involuntary split of the two canines but removal of both from the premises. They have spent most of their lives together and to separate them at this point would be detrimental to both their mental and physical conditions. Additionally, without the (3) three men in their lives they know best, as well as a change of venue and the loss of the other canine, I foresee deep emotional issues arising and a severe case of depression for each, resulting in a less than pleasant experience for each new caretaker of each canine.
Oz is a very emotional and insecure dog. He can hardly sit still without constant reassurance from whomever is in the room, let alone a new environment, new people, and the loss of his companion Zoey. He is (6) six years old and is entering what is likely to be the final third of his life. Removing him would be equitable to kicking your ailing grandmother out of the house onto the streets, literally, at age 70.
While Zoey is very independent and dynamic, she too can be very emotional and may suffer severe bouts of depression stemming from a lack of male canine orifices to clean daily, as she is currently enjoying, not to mention the vast amount of attention she currently receives from both residents and visitors.
The bottom line is that they have not been given a fair shot at the world, and are now inevitably going to be forced to adapt to new surroundings, new owners, and separation anxiety from their current owner and roommates, home and companion.
DONT LET OZ & ZOEY GO BRYAN!!!
