Konami: Please Support Bemani Games In Other Markets

The purpose of this petition is to show that there is a demand for Bemani (music) games throughout the world, and not just Japan. The main games would include, but not limited to the Dance Dance Revolution (Dancing Stage), Para Para Paradise, and BeatMania series. While these games are seriously marketed in Japan, America and the rest of the world has not really been tapped at all.

While America has received Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) 1.5, and DDR USA, the song selection is sparse, and many of those songs were in previous Japanese versions. We would like future versions, but you dont supply them. Throughout the world, many arcades owners and players at home have imported Japanese versions of the games just to satisfy the demand people have for them.

The current selection of songs in the mixes is great, and we love the fact that you have signed on many unknown artists (Naoki, TaQ, DJ Taka, Captain Jack, RE-VENGE, SMiLE.dk, DE-SIRE, etc). Electronic dance music is wonderful, but we would also like to see the addition of new artists and new styles of music in future mixes. Continue finding unknown artists, but also talk to the Bemani community for their input on future mixes. The current selection of 11-30 songs is not enough, as we would like 120+ as seen in the Japanese versions.

We are thankful for the wonderful games and the fact that Konami has tried to tap other places besides Japan with games like Dance Dance Revolution, but us gamers feel that our need for these games is not being satisfied, you are not listening to our requests, and your tries (DDR USA) could have been pulled off better. For those of us fortunate enough to play other Bemani games such as Para Para Paradise, we believe it could really catch on if given the chance. There are a lot of us who have been seriously impacted by the Bemani series, for which it has almost become a lifestyle. We also feel that if our desire is not satisfied, the Bemani series of games could die pre-maturely because of the lack of support by Konami.

2. You would like Konami to push these styles of games into other markets (America, UK, Canada, etc) other than just Japan.
3. You would like to see more original mixes for the new games, and not just recycle old songs.
4. You will/already play the games on a regular basis.
5. You would also purchase home versions of the games if available.
