I am writing this petetion to collect signatures to get local, state and federal government to recognize Malcolm X's birthday May 19,as a national holiday, in all 50 states. There are several other leaders in our community and in our society who recieve national reconigition for their birthday, because of the outstanding contributions they gave to the American people. I feel that Malcolm X also contributed tremendously to the Black community as well as to the world. Signing this petetion will mean that you are in great support of Malcolm X's birthday becoming a national holiday.
