Main Objective of petition:
START THE MOVEMENT
TO STAND UP AGAINST AND END THE GROSS EXPANSION OF GOVERNMENT AND THE GROWTH OF ITS CONTROL OVER THE AMERICAN PEOPLE
Big Government:
We the people believe the Obama Administration is expanding the size of government at an alarming rate
we urge them to reverse course and implement policies that will instead maintain or decrease the size of government.
Unnecessary Regulation:
We demand an end to the Obama administration's goal to substantially increase regulation throughout the economy (especially in the energy and financial industries). Although we understand that regulation reform is warranted. We also understand that the proposals this administration has offered will be detrimental not only to the economy as a whole, but to me and my family as well.
Spending:
As Americans we know the value of hard work. It is frustrating to see the government using the fruit of our labor so carelessly especially in the current economic conditions. We demand an end to careless spending and an implementation of conservative fiscal policies.
Finally, we demand the Obama administration focus on creating a thriving economy through the use of free market principles. We reject the argument that capitalism is the root cause of the current economic situation and hold as a truth that free market policies (with NECESSARY oversight and regulation) are the solution to the current situation and the only way to ensure our economic security now and in the future. Free market policies empower the individual with control. Therefore, the Obama administration should have an economic policy of creating opportunity for ALL Americans and empowering them with control over their destiny and the direction of the American economy.
Sincerely,
The undersigned American Citizens
