Music at The Egg

We would like to see a continued use of The Egg for music shows and ensure that these events are kept as originally scheduled.
The Egg Gallery in San Francisco is a valuable location that can be of great benefit both to the area music community and the Academy of Art simultaneously. As a host for local music shows, The Egg offers a much-needed clean and safe environment for musicians and enthusiasts at the school, in the city, and throughout the greater Bay Area. The lack of suitable venues in the vicinity is appalling, and The Egg provides an excellent remedy. This in turn reflects well upon the Academy, which receives a wealth of free and very effective promotion through the music community on the local, national, and even international levels. Bands of varying levels of renown have played and wish to play at The Egg when touring in or around San Francisco, attracting attention on a much larger scale than other forms of advertising. The Egg and consequently the Academy is recognized and endorsed on ThePRP.com, which is widely considered to be the largest underground music website currently active and contacts over 7000 music enthusiasts and professionals via mailing list weekly. The music community is of course very much linked to and often a major component of the artist community, therefore this kind of promotion cannot be overlooked. It is mutually beneficial then to the Academy and to the local music scene to continue to host these events at The Egg without canceling or changing dates or times once they have been scheduled. We express our support of this request.
