Nationwide River Access for Kayaking/Canoeing

This petition brings to light the problem of access to rivers, nationwide, for the public, and, in particular, the recreational sporting activity - Kayaking/Canoeing.

All the signed below recognise that there is a problem with the access agreements on Rivers within Britain, and would like to bring the problem to public attention.

We agree that we would like to have increased access to Rivers, in order to participate in the sport of Kayaking/Canoeing, which is environmentally unharmful, and a healthy outdoor pursuit.

We recognise the problem that Anglers and Riparian Owners object to Canoeing and Kayaking taking place in Rivers used and owned by themselves; And would welcome a diplomatic and amicable solution.

We ask that the appropriate authorities recognise that a problem exists and begin to work towards a diplomatic and amicable solution, that biases neither Canoeing/Kayaking, Angling or Riparian Owners - On the grounds that Rivers should be available and accessible, for all parties, to use in a mature, responsible and unharmful manner.
