We do not wish to purchase laptops. Several hardware and software recommendations are stated on pages 41-42 in the 2003-2004 academic bulletin, and on page 47 in the 2004-2005 academic bulletin. In the first paragraph of each academic bulletin, it is specifically stated that these are recommendations and NOT requirements. Many students have used these guidelines to purchase a personal computer for use at FL Hospital College and it is in the belief of the undersigned that they should not be forced to purchase a new system.
It is in belief of the undersigned that forcing the nursing student body to purchase proprietary computer systems is unjust and contradicts what is stated, in writing, in the college academic bulletins.
