Ever since the Senate Bill 530 was passed, children in grades 3-12 have had to take a physical fitness test called the FITNESSGRAM. It was proposed to to help get rid of obesity. Instead of doing that, it has simply caused many young Americans to a miserable couple days or weeks in PE testing to find out if they are "fat" or if they pass. This is purely nonsense since we have had testing in the past, and the FITNESSGRAM has no such motivation to perform well like the Presidential Fitness Challenge did. Even though Senate thought this was a good way to "find the fat kids" and tell their parents this, it has simply caused many kids to just fail on purpose because they don't want to try. So I believe the FITNESSGRAM should be repealed and replaced again with the Presidential Challenge.
