New Delhi, India

Dear Honourable Prime Minister,

Democratic wish of separate Telangana state has gradually become the dream of every telanganite from the days when it was merged with the Andhra state in 1956.

We are very thankful to Government of India as it is initiated the process of separate state for Telangana region; we appreciate the government & central leaders for understanding the importance of separate Telangana state. Itвs like the dream come true for every telanganite.

Sir, via this petition we would like express our feelings to pass the bill in parliament & form a separate Telangana state as soon as possible.

If we look at the history
1. Formation of Andhra: - one of the most respected leaders Shri.Potti Sreeramulu was undertaken fast-unto-death for achieving the state of Andhra in 1952 separating from the Madras State. State of Andhra [only with two regions i.e. Coastal Andhra & Rayalaseema] was established with Kurnool as capital carving it out from Madras State in 1953, Telangana [Formerly Hyderabad state] was not in this picture when Andhra was separated from Madras state. However, the Telangana was existed as separate state in Independent India before merging with Andhra state in 1956.

2. Formation of Andhra Pradesh: - with the States reorganization Commission On November 1, 1956, Telangana was merged with Andhra and as a result Andhra Pradesh was formed with Hyderabad as its capital.

Good thing was in 1953 that the state of Andhra was formed peacefully with no much issues in separating from Madras when Indian government was initiated the process. Now, what concerns is the Andhra politicians are making so much of issues when we want to be separated form Andhra Pradesh, we feel like it would be great if both Andhra region & Telangana region separated peacefully & coordinate each other with the spirit of brotherhood being in separate states.

The only reason that Andhra politicians might be thinking is that all Telugu speaking people should to be in single state, but in fact in our day to day living for the several years in Andhra Pradesh the Telangana telugu was humiliated and itвs sometimes used as comedy lingo in our own telugu films, we felt like we were treated as secondary grade people on our own land for over 60 years now.

We respect all languages such as Hindi, Urdu, and Gujarati etc as equally as Telugu, We really looking forward to live cosmopolitan Telangana state with Hyderabad as capital city.

As we understand the fact that there are several Hindi speaking states exists in our democratic country, itвs now the time to convince our Andhra politicians and leaders that there will be no harm if we have two Telugu speaking states. We feel small states are more convenient for administration & development, and also we feel Andhra region will be more developed as separate state and if one of its cities made as a capital.

Sir, as the government understands that this is the agitation going on from many years and many people sacrificed their lives for the formation of Telangana state, we request Honourable Prime Minister, Government of India to pass the Telangana Bill in parliament as early as possible.
