Petition to Stop Attack Ads in Canadian Elections

For years, every election has been preceded with television and radio commercials claiming that political parties are corrupt, haven't done anything, or even worse, slandering elected officials of political parties. We do not have to put up with this, and we refuse to allow it to continue. I recommend and request a new statute which prevents any political party from naming the leaders of other political parties, as well as the current titles, names and commonly used abbreviations for other political parties in their adverts. We do not want a recap of the negative points of the last 4 years, we heard it all while we were living through it. We want to hear and to know what you, the political party that is purchasing our time, can do for us, the people.
