Recognize Mariah

We, the lamb public, are dismayed that our idol, Mariah Carey, has not been formally recognized for her 15-year span of achievements and accolades by the MTV Icon Association.

In 1990, a legend was born into the world of music and over the next 15-years; she became the biggest selling female artist of all-time. With only Elvis and The Beatles to obtain more number one singles, Miss Carey achieved more than any other female artist living or deceased.

Mariah has gone through her vapid, timid, and outlandish states-of-mind, but the voice has returned, to dominate charts, and to soar with a powerful vocal instrument. Topping every chart you can possibly name verbatim. She has shattered more smokescreens with her voice, driven herself to such extremes with a bubbly personality. Her voice can be carried abroad, with the voice parameter broken, effortlessly as her stunning trills and riffs shatter airplay records and sales; that not even an orchestra of such beautiful and lucid overtures could possibly live up to or closely measure.

She has enriched the lives of millions. Not only does she dominate charts, but she has become an asset to many lives and isnt just a passerby; we dedicate our lives to her, supporting her through turmoil, heartbreak, misfortune, triumph, and never-ending camaraderie from afar. We shall continue to do so until we reach a point where we cannot continue.

She deserves to be recognized for her musical achievements, charitable giving, and the fact that she isnt a one-hit wonder says a lot. But the gist of the general public views her as a new artist achieving what very few artists have. We cant make a person view her as something special or remarkable, but view it on the basis of tangible fact and not fiction.

We would like the MTV Icon Association to recognize her, but since theyve chosen to snub her time and time again, we feel that its more suitable that BET or Vh1 provide some sort of presentation for her never-ending attainment. I could go on and on and on and it would never be enough.

Do you support Mariah? Are you a fan? Have you heard one of her songs and enjoyed it and found a connection? Whether youre a fan of Mariahs or just a fan of one of her songs; you cant sit back and continue to let her go unrecognized for the all-encompassed person she is. She is beautiful, talented, intelligent, and very comprehensive. You have to admit that she has influenced many artists and launched the music industry into a big uproar over her successful hit-after-hit production and multi-platinum selling albums and chart-single accomplishments. She has broken barriers that only artists only dream of doing. Support her in the way you know she deserves. Dont let a stone go unturned until she is atop.
