Save Children and Stop Dog Abuse

According to a 20 year study by the US Government, chained dogs are 3 times more likely to bite a child than an unchained dog. Dogs feel vulnerable when chained. When left chained for prolonged periods of time, dogs become angry and frustrated. They often sustain injuries trying to escape, and they are vulnerable to other animals.
Despite the threat to children and the abuse to man's best friend, chaining dogs is still legal in Washington State.
I support Washington State's proposed bill 2387 to ban long term unsupervised chaining of dogs, and encourage Washington State lawmakers to put this bill on the legislative schedule.
I ask that Jamie Pedersen put this important bill on the legislative schedule.
