Early next year, a proposal will be made to the Police Commissioner to merge the Napier and Hastings Police areas.
If approved, The Napier Police Station will become a branch of the Hastings Head Office.
This could mean losing ALL of Napier’s crime squad detectives to Hastings. The Police Association have also raised safety concerns for both Police and the public.
We lost our hospital... Let’s not lose our Police Station
