Shenmue

As a child growing up iv'e always spent a lot of time reading and immersing myself in fictional worlds of which only few were worth remebering. Up until playing shenmue as with books, only a few games stuck with me through childhood that had stories inspiring and compelling enough to stick. Of those games I mentioned, all continue to have sequels and continue to be well recieved. All but one game called shenmue. And of all of those games Shenmue is the more deserving of a sequel...ok and Chrono (but thats another petition alltogether.



Shenmue for me has been very inspirational as well as a very unique experience in gaming that was before it's time. Unfortunately Sega and Mr Suzuki continue to remain ambiguous as to shenmue's fate. As a plea from someone that has been introduced to this wondeful game, I wanted to say thanks. Reguardless of if you guys plan on finishing the series or not we all would appreciate an answer. And if it's an indefinate no I would still like to say thanks for two gaming experiences that have excelled. As well as restoring my faith in story through gaming being very possible and very real.







To close I wanted to express to sega personally how much the series has meant to me, and show my appreciation for great story telling. Through a petition for fans of the series to plea for another installment (on anything but the wii). And though it might just seem like just another random bantering fanatic (i'm 21, and have a healthy social life...but a lot of time). I felt obliged to appeal to sega this time in online form for an answer either way. As many of my letters (Sega Europe) along with my copy of sonic the hedgehog (360 version) have never seen a reply.







I am fully aware that a petition has been done before, along with an obscure tv campaign (which poked fun more than addressed it) along with other events that have passed over. And i'm also aware that there will be tempted to use this as as an insult page. So I as a plea to those people guys please only sign if you're interested in the series. Please leave that for the dmc4 petition.
