STOP THE EXPLOITATION OF GRIEVING PET OWNERS
This Petition was initiated by me, Maureen Finley, a private citizen who discovered the truth.
Please support this effort to provide the same level of protection to people who grieve over the loss of a pet as is afforded to those who grieve over the loss of a human by signing this petition in favor of YOUR RIGHT TO KNOW.
I was shocked and dismayed to learn of the exploitation of pet owners by some veterinarians who inflate the cost of pet burials and cremations for their own profit.
Will your veterinarian secretively profit from the death of your pet? Will you know how much the burial or cremation really costs?
Will your bill indicate that youve been excessively overcharged for the burial or cremation of your pet?
Most pet owners would be outraged if they knew that their trusted veterinarian had made a profit from the death of their pets.
I believe that simply requiring veterinarians to present us with a written statement showing what we are paying, to whom and for what service when purchasing a pet cremation or burial will be effective in stopping the abusers without penalizing those veterinarians who do not take advantage.
Please feel free to email me any of your comments, suggestions and/or supporting information related to the price you may have paid for a burial or cremation service through your veterinarian.
