Andrew Neiderman is ruining the legacy of V.C. Andrews with is poor cliche writing and reclycled plots. It has gone too far, his next book is called Secrets in the Attic. Secrets in the Attic! He's going to ruin Flowers in the Attic next and perhaps get Secrets in the Attic made into a horrible TV movie and ruin the chances of a FITA remake(just like Rain ruined the chances of the Cutlers ever getting made into a movie). I am appalled. He didn't even have the decency to have it be a basement instead, no an Attic and have the title be a one word difference to FITA. Does he honesty think we wouldn't care or notice? Does he think we have no memory of FITA? Who does he think we are?
Andrew Neiderman doesn't have the passion for the characters he creates for VCA, and no originality to the plot he makes. V.C. Andrews had an extreme passion for writing and love for her characters. Writing was her life and her book were her children. When writing Flowers in the Attic she went down to 76lbs just so she could feel the same way her characters would have felt starving in the attic, she did that becuase she wanted to add authetisity risking her health. VCA was a method writer, writing wasn't a job for VCA, writing was so much more for her. It's horrible how V.C Andrews books are now written by a writer who doesn't develop new ideas and who doesn't find V.C. Andrews books important enough to try and give effort. And now he's going to destroy the novel that V.C.Andrews so dearly loved.
This REALLY has to stop now, he and the publishers have already done enough damage to her good name and with Secrets in the Attic it will destroy all VCA worked, sacrified, and died for.
There either has to be a new Ghostwriter(a female one under the age of 40 who understands what it is like to be both a young girl and a woman who respects VC Andrews. It is queationing the fact that Andrew Neiderman is a sixty-year-old man who appears to base his main characters on the high school students he taught many years ago...exactly) or better yet have V.C. Andrews finally be put to rest as she justfully should have nearly twenty years ago.

I don't think he's THAT bad, but you do make an exellent point, the books are very repetitive, and I would rather have seen a cutler movie rather thana hudson one. But I was just excited that they were finnaly making SOMETHING from VCA into a movie.

I have lost interest in these books all together because of how horrible they have become. It is a dang shame, and frankly if it calls for someone to get fired to get the writing back to where it needs to be, then I will support it 100\%.
