Stop the banning of Pitbulls!! We are a proud owners of Pitbulls, friendly outgoing dogs. We've been owners in the past and have never had any issues. It is not the dogs fault people raise them wrong. I have a one year old niece who is staying with us and she and Knox (Pitbull), play and roll around and she feeds him dog food from the bowl in her hand to him, he is very gentle with her. Knox is seven months old, he by instinct knows to be this way, it is not a trained behavior. Also three months ago I gave birth to a little boy. Now, Knox likes to be around us,(people pleasers), and so he likes to be on the bed with us, but if our little three month old son is on the bed, he dosn't jump up. He knows, agian not a trianed behavior. He is hoever very curious, like any other puppy, and is already 65lbs, which makes people very afraid of him. Little do they know he would never hurt them. This is trained behavior, people disliking Pitbulls for thier breed!! Now I'd like to tell you a story about a diffrent breed, one that lives with us also. A AKC chow, my one year old nieces moms dog. (remmember the story I told you earlier), now she can't go near the dog bowl when he's eating, and he once killed a puppy for being in the same room with him while he was eating. Snaped at it caught it right in the ribs, punctured his lungs and killed it. A very moody and unpredictable dog. This dog was raised the same as our Pits, but is VERY diffrent. We keep hearing about the government banning these Pitbulls, and disturbs us greatly. We live in the country in northern MI., so these banns have a while before they reach us, if they ever do. But someone should speak for this breed. I know their has to be other Pitbull owners, or postowners who feel the same as us. If so sign this and lets keep the breed alive. The dogs don't deserve this bad owners do.

5. Whitney Meier | Like they say, the personality runs down the leash. If a dog is vicious it is because it is not being treated correctly or is trained to be mean. I am a rottie owner. Rottweilers also have a bad reputation but this dog is so sweet I couldn't imagine her a

4. Sandy Schmidt | I am in complete agreement. Pitbulls are not a dangerous breed. I had a neighbor who had two pitbulls, one that they raised from a puppy, Sugar Bear, and one they purchased as an adult, Hans. They both came from the same parents. Sugar Bear could not ha
