Support for a Dedicated Right of Way on St Clair Avenue

We, the undersigned, support the construction of a dedicated right-of-way for streetcars on St Clair Avenue.
We believe that improved public transit, under the plan that was struck down by the Ontario Divisional Court on October 11, 2005, will be a benefit to both the street and the City of Toronto.
We believe that the efforts of the opposition group, Save our St Clair, are not reflective of the views of the majority who want to see improved transit on St Clair Avenue.
We are therefore supporting a boycott of all businesses on St Clair Avenue opposed to the streetcar right of way.

One opposition letter stated that the proposed changes to St Clair would make it less people friendly (that's a ridiculous argument!)- by giving streetcars right of way, other than completely eliminating cars, you can't make for a more pedestrian friendly

As a resident of Hillcrest Village and a user of the 512 streetcar I feel that SOS is motivated by little other than misguided self-interest. This ROW could be the best thing to ever happen to this street.

I, as well as many downtown commuters, live on St. Clair West. I currently drive through Davenport to get down town all the time. Gas AND parking are expen$ive. I would prefer ride the TTC a lot more if transit times were shorter AND more consistent. I'm
